In the spirit of Matariki, The Great War Exhibition are delivering a specialty tour telling the story of Māori in the Great War.
Created by Sir Peter Jackson and supported by ANZ, The Great War Exhibition tells the story of the First World War in brilliant colour. It brings the ordeals of this pivotal time in history into the modern day, melting away 100 years, helping us to understand the hardships endured by those who served and those who stayed behind.
In the spirit of Matariki, we have an exclusive opportunity to remember the dead and tell the story of Māori within the Great War. Our knowledgeable guide will provide both an educational and emotional experience connecting our visitors with the story of our soldiers.
The duration of the tour is approximately 1 hour.
The Matariki Specialty Tour is free of charge ($15 admission into the exhibition still applies).
